About the Artist
Hello! I’m Emily Kretschmer. I am an artist, illustrator, and designer based in Texas. I have been creating art for as long as I’ve been old enough to hold a pencil. I have also had professional art training at Texas State University’s College of Art and Design in beautiful San Marcos, Texas. Earning degrees in Communication Design and Studio Art with an all level Teaching certificate. I have always had a natural obsession towards the process of creating and love working with young children to inspire them to the joys of creating art. With interests in many different medias and fields of art, I find myself most passionate in oil painting and illustration. I’ve discovered most of my inspiration to stem from nature and the human form. I’m always welcoming Commission work as well as design work, logo, business cards, CD, T-shirt, poster, and tattoo designs. I enjoy working in many medias and subject matters, from portraiture, landscape, to surrealism. I am more than happy to collaborate with you in creating an original piece of art.
